It was calm and pleasant on a Saturday night, had karaoke that was well-run by Nikki from DJ Deelish's entertainment service, and the bar staff went out of their way to accommodate me without expressing an iota of resentment.
The expansive back deck was a treat to find, the bar was well-stocked, and the pricing of beverages, while not dive-bar inexpensive, was not only reasonable by my estimation, but thoughtful, too. If you want a Saturday night experience in Westerly that is both mature and fun without being cheek-to-jowl with everyone else, I can't recommend the Brazen Hen any more highly than this: Go there. Give them your money. Have fun.
